Thanks for mentioning Second Life, Heather. Perhaps you can provide more details and firsthand perspective based on your experiences with SL? --Michael O'Connell

I agree as well. I have sadly watched this show and it doesn't suprise me that she was so effected by others comments. Its seems like these people are in competition with everyone, and people's opinions are what matters.

I agree. Some people just don't know how they are acting until they step outside the box. Although, a lot of people on that show are very spoiled.

Sometimes people just dont realize what they're doing until they step outside and see themselves from a different perspective. It looks like technology has given her the opportunity to do that.

I agree i think that i enjoyed road rules more when it was formatted like real world still is. I guess i liked the fact that you could kind of get to know a character before he or she got the boot. With this format its not as possible.

Do you like the new Road Rules?I fee like in the past Road Rules has been pretty popular but I do not think this season is the same. I think MTV lost the appeal to why youth watch their show. I understand thousands are going online and voting and you can not argue with that but they have completly changed the show, requiring action and interation. I wish they would to back to the old ways... just my opinion

Good start, Heather. I am curious about the various ways Road Rules employs the internet to interact with and foster a community, and also wonder how effective MTV is with these efforts. Please update your blog title and subtitle to reflect your topic.
